Lost Girls by Ann Kelley
A group of Amelia Earhart Cadets heads out on a camping trip with their new troop leader. The group sets out from Amnuythip, Thailand by boat to camp on one of the nearby barrier islands. Things begin to go wrong when the wind increases and it begins to rain. After their boatman puts the group ashore on an alternate island and leaves, the storm turns violent and the group finds themselves struggling to survive.
When daylight breaks the group realizes one of the members is dead, one injured, and their provisions are damaged. Realizing that Mrs. Campbell is not a capable survivor, the girls will need to depend on themselves since no one knows where to look for them. Each girl’s strengths are tested and tensions arise. The story is action-packed with realistic characters and an unusual setting. This is an adventure story readers will wish to read more than once, a must for your survival fans.
