Louise Penny Interviewed On C’est La Vie
La Maison Anglaise sells English and Spanish books and we’re proud of our 25 year tradition of providing access to English books here in Quebec City. Even if you don’t read French, occasionally something takes place in the French book community that is relevant to English readers. This is one of those times.
Louise Penny, who will be in Quebec on Oct 28, was interviewed on CBC’s C’est La Vie. If you’re not familiar with C’est La Vie, it is a show that celebrates English living in Quebec. This particular inerview is unique as, not only do you get to hear from Louise, you get to meet Governor General award winning translator, Michel Saint-Germain who has translated Louise’s first book, Still Life. It currently sits near the top of the Quebec Best Seller list, by the way. Mr. St. Germaine is in the process of translating the entire Amand Gamache series into French. You can hear that interview here. You can buy the original English version of Still Life from La Maison Anglaise and we’ll have En Plein Coeur available for purchase at the Louise Penny event so you can get your copy signed. We’ll also have it available in the store for one month following the event.
