QCRC seeks volunteers (for adult tutoring)
QCRC’s (Quebec City’s Reading Council) tutoring program assists adult learners and continuing education students from the Quebec City community. They primarily offer tutoring for three essential life skills: reading and writing, math, and computer skills. This program is student-driven, and they focus on the current material each individual is working through. This might be studying for a driving permit or citizenship test, completing course work in a continuing education program, or simply improving one’s computer skills. As a result, tutors are not expected to develop courses or study plans, and we provide necessary training.
QCRC are currently recruiting tutors for adult learners!
- They are seeking tutors for basic computer skills (using a computer, Microsoft Office programs, basic internet navigation, etc.)
- They are seeking tutors for math and reading/writing.
- Tutors will be provided necessary training prior to being matched with a student.
To apply or request more information, please contact Bethann Merkle (Program Coordinator) by emailing info@qcrc.org, or by calling 418-681-1258. We encourage you to share this information with others, if you know someone who might be a strong literacy volunteer with QCRC.
